RESIDENTIAL HOUSING

TE MANA PONO O TE RANGATIRA

Whare Nga Ariki can home up to eight (8) Rangatahi as whangai for up to 12 months. Rangatahi will not only become whanau-members of this household but of the Whatatutu community made up of it's own group of special characters living in an idyllic nature environment that is maunga, awa and ngahere at their doorstep. The whare promotes holistic living to help nourish the tinana, hinengaro and wairua through it's wraparound service delivery and everyone is required to pitch in whether helping maintain and harvest kai from the community garden that is organic / spray-free / chems-free, or join in a hunting and fishing expedition to gather kai for the whare and community. Rangatahi will develop their Te Reo, Tikanga and Whakapapa and foundation skills IE; Numeracy & Literacy while with us. Their journey with us leading to them each becoming a proud male citizen of Aotearoa able to contribute through their newfound rangatiratanga.
